University Social Impact Convening

The Convening.

The Ballard Center for Social Impact hosts an annual convening, where we invite professors and social impact directors from campuses across the nation to join us in the beautiful mountains of Utah and discuss the state of Social Impact Education. This year we had representatives from Notre Dame, TCU, Berkley, and Harvard. The days consisted of best practice and framework showcases, ideation and problem solving, academic discussions, and research symposiums. The mornings had hikes and yoga classes and the evenings had various activities to make the most of the time in Utah.

My Role- Convening Team Lead

The Impact.

The convening went off without a hitch! We successfully had 30 Social Impact academics travel all the way to the mountains of Utah. Travel and accommodations were coordinated for each attendee and executed seamlessly. The daily activities and agenda items contributed to a large body of resources that the group of attendees still use to this day. A monthly call schedule was created, as well as a consortium charter to continue this important work.

  • Lead the outreach effort
